TARGHE DEL 1961

Ovviamente, per quanto più difficile, non potevo privarmi del piacere di avere anche targhe del 1961. Ne ho due, che pubblico di seguito, alle quali aggiungo una targa che non è del 1961 ma ... è 1961 (tra l'altro una curiosa targa francese in stile inglese- una targa simile con numerazione diversa è stata presentata all'asta di Europlate quest'anno a Trezzo)

Obviously, I can'tto have not some 1961 plates. Here the two of my collection, one from Quebec ( that I like a lot because i'd like to visit Quebec), and one from New Hampshire ( so close -from Italy- that I could visit both). There is also a french plate that is a ... "1961 plate". Who was at Europlate COnvention in Trezzo could remember that a similar plate was in auction.

QUALI TARGHE COLLEZIONARE?

Non vorrei sembrare irriverente, ma le targhe sono come le donne, ogni donna ha in sè un mistero che è ben oltre e diverso che il semplice aspetto esteriore. E' importante essere belle dentro , e così le targhe, può dare più emozione a una persona, come mi capita, una banale targa rossa dell'Irlanda piuttosto che una preziosa del Regio Esercito. Anche se è ovvio che non c'è fine nella conquista, si vorrebbe avere, da guardare, da esporre, da usare come veicolo per l'immaginazione, ogni targa che si vede. Guardo una targa e mi chiedo chi avrà guidato l'auto che la montava, che storia ha alle sue spalle, come sarà stata la vita quotidiana della città di una nazione lontana dove ha circolato e magari è stata annotata da un poliziotto per una multa.
Essendo un collezionista da poco, ho scelto criteri dettati dal cuore,  e uno dei criteri è l'anno di nascita di Giulia  (se avessi scelto quello di Antonella sarebbe stato più difficile... ;-) ) Ecco allora una serie di targhe del  1991.

I dont' want to sound irreverent,  but the plates are like women, every woman has in itself a mystery which is much more  and different than just appearance.It' important to be beautiful deep inside. And so the license plates, can give more emotion to a person, as I understood, a normal red plate of Ireland rather than a valuable part of the REGIO ESERCITO . Although it is obvious that there is no end in success, you will want to have , to look at , to expose , to  use   as a vehicle for the imagination any license plate you see.  I look at a license plate and I wonder who will have driven the car that was equipped with it, what history behind him, how has been the city's daily life of a far nation in which has circulated  and maybe it was transcribed by a policeman for a fine. Being a weak collector , I chose the criteria dictated by the heart, and one of the criteria is the year of birth of Giulia (if I chose  Antonella birth year it would be more difficult ...;-)   ) Here is a series of plates of 1991.

In mezzo alla pista F35, nel nulla del centro dell'Islanda (in realtà un meraviglioso nulla), un rifugio vende maglioni e altri prodotti: "Madam, do you sell this plate on the window too?" "What do you mean? That numberplate?" "Yes, I do, I collect plates" " Oh, I found it on the road, please take it if you like" "Thank you madam, you make a man happy"


In the middle of F35 Road, in the "nothing" tin the middle of Iceland ( reallly a quite wonderful nothing), in a "service area" a woman sells handcraft sweaters.

Ecco pubblicata la fotografia della prima targa, da TAIWAN, che una volta chiamavamo Cina Nazionalista o Isola di Formosa.
Questa targa, secondo RPW, è di Taipei City ( la capitale), della serie corrente per le autovetture private almeno fino alla edizione 4 di RPW.
Come scrivevo, questa targa mi è stata inviata direttamente dalle autorità di TAIWAN a seguito di una mia richiesta del 1996. Credo sia una caso purtroppo oggi piuttosto raro, ascoltando i racconti di più esperti collezionisti. Per questo mi è particolarmente cara.

Here it is TAIWAN plate's photo, my first plate ( from TAIPEI city, current series as writed in RPW4). This plate was sent to me by TAIWAN authorities, a non common habit in more recent time, listening the mosto important collectors I know. So I like this license plate a lot.

PRIMA TESSERA DI EUROPLATE _ FIRST EUROPLATE CARD

La recente convention di Europlate  mi ha fatto sorgere una voglia di rivedere la mia storia di socio di questo club. Incredibilmente, considerato il mio disordine, ho ritrovato le prime lettere, del lontano 1996, quando ho scoperto Europlate e anche la fotocopia della prima tessera.

LA PRIMA TARGA_ THE FIRST PLATE

Attorno al 1996 ho cominciato a pensare di "collezionare targhe". Pensavo di essere l'unico al mondo ad essere interessato alle targhe. Ho scritto, l'estate che Antonella aspettava Marco e siamo rimasti fermi in campeggio, a decine di ambasciate e consolati.
Taiwan mi ha risposto inviandomi una targa, con questa busta.

In 1996 I began to think to collect plates. I thought I was alone in the world interested about plates. I wrote, in the summer when Antonella was pregnant of Marco, to a lot of embassy and vehicle registration office in the world. Taiwan ansered sending a plate, in this package

LA MIA TARGA PREFERITA _THE PLATE I PREFER

La mia targa preferita è una targa assolutamente banale, le ragioni della predilizione non sono dovute al valore oppure alla difficoltà per l'ottenimento, ma sono legate più a quei motivi profondi che mi fanno appassionare a una collezione e a un interesse che, per quanto diffuso, sembra essere ancora di nicchia.
Quando ho visto per la prima volta una targa Irlandese vecchia serie era circa il 1986. Eravamo, la mia famiglia ed io, a Gent, in un campeggio letteralmente inzuppato da giorni di pioggia. Arriva questa Citroen DS familiare dalla quale scendono 7 persone (Kurt: solo sette!) Proveniva dall'Irlanda e aveva la targa con fondo rosso e le lettere avvitate nere. E' stato un colpo di fulmine. A quei tempi, oggettivamente non tanto lontani, l'Irlanda per un giovane italiano di provincia era ancora un'idea, mai più pensavo avessero targhe così inusuali. Da allora la targa irlandese, che poi sono riuscito a prendere a qualche convention di Europlate, ha rappresentato il mio archetipo di targa. E ancora ora è la mia preferita

My favorite plate is a plate perfectly ordinary, the reasons of thepredilection are not due in the value or the difficulty to obtain, but are linked to those more profound reasons that make me a collector and toexcite an interest which, as widely still appears to be of niche.
When I saw for the first time, an old Irish number plate wasapproximately 1986. We were, my family and I, in Gent, a campgroundliterally soaked from days of rain. Comes this Citroen DS from whichdescend a 7 people (Kurt: only seven!) family Was from Ireland and hadthe plate with a red background and black letters screwed. It was love at first lightning. At that time, not so much objectively distant, Ireland for a young Italian provincial was still an idea, never thought they had license plates so unusual. Since then the number plate Irish, then I could take at some Europlate convention, was the archetype of my plate. And yet it is  my favorite again
